9-10th June, Stoke by Nayland, Essex

« The glorious Jim Hayes Cup. Look closely to see the 2001 winner reflected in its gleaming surface.

And the Ray Chester Shield, also won by our esteemed President in 2001 for the best scratch score. »

Organiser Paul Appleton writes: Entries are now open for the 2019 IBM National Golf Championship which will be held on June 9th and 10th 2019 at Stoke by Nayland Golf, Hotel and Spa. This excellent facility has two good courses, a 4 star hotel and plenty of spa options.

The event will broadly follow the same format as in previous years and we will be using the Sunday afternoon as a qualifying event for the final on Monday morning. The top half from each course will make the cut to compete for the National Trophies as normal and those with more challenging results will wipe the slate clean and enter a "Plate" competition on Monday which will be a Stableford Competition.

Maximum handicap allowance 24 for Men and 28 for Women. If your handicap is higher than this you can still enter but will play off the lower figure. Higher handicaps will be waitlisted.

Stoke by NaylandWe will be continuing to invite partners who can enter the competition or just join us for the hotel and dinner. There are many facilities within the hotel complex for them to enjoy and the beautiful ancient city of Colchester is only a short drive away. The resort is in the middle of Constable Country and is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

The entrance fee has been heavily subsidised, which along with negotiating a really good deal means a fantastic price of £107 for PLAYERS. There is an additional charge of £25 for those who prefer not to share, payable with your entry fee. The cost for non playing Partners is at the great price of £65. This represents great value and is a generous subsidy.
